Work Experience

Pallant House

For my Work Experience project for Pallant House, I am to create a promotional video that advertises the art gallery with a video aimed at 16 year olds.

My idea is to use a type writer effect to transition informational text into the composition like I done with the StonePillow Project. I have taken photographs of characters from Pallant House to showcase the artwork to grasp the audiences attention and get their interest. I have edited the photographs of the characters ready for the text:

Another idea I had was to animate the characters. Maybe by moving their eyes, or raising an eyebrow to create tension and interest within the audience. Doing this will bring the art to life and keep viewer retention.

I created this effect with the first character. In after effects, I created a simple black circle shape as eyes and inserted keyframes to animate the eyes movement. Here is how it came out:

For the audio for my video, I have decided to use an instrumental for a new hip hop song. The song came out on the Lyrical Lemonade youtube channel 3 weeks ago. It is called Diva by TheKidLaroi and Lil Tecca. To target my intended audience, I believe that using a song like this is essential.

For the background audio, I have used typewriter effects to create the illusion of the text being written by a type writer. This effects appeals to teenagers as it is very modern but also keeps the classy, old fashioned cadance to the video.
